Who Are We

GoodsAgain started with a simple thought — why start from scratch when we can create something beautiful from what already exists.

Inspired by a lifelong belief in reusing rather than wasting, GoodsAgain was created to bring thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and conscious reuse together.

Our Story

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of materials do you use?

Whenever possible, we start with materials that already exist—surplus or excess materials that are perfectly usable but no longer have a business use and might otherwise go to waste. We give these materials a new purpose by turning them into beautiful, functional products.

When new materials are needed, we choose them thoughtfully, using materials such as cotton, linen, metal while certainly avoiding newly produced plastic in our products.

Our philosophy is simple: use what already exists first, and use new resources thoughtfully when needed.

Who makes your products?

Our products are handcrafted through small nonprofit and artisan organizations in India that specialize in design and traditional craftsmanship. Many of the makers are women who receive fair wages, safe working conditions, and the opportunity to earn an income while supporting their families.

Just as importantly, their work helps keep traditional craft skills alive in a world increasingly dominated by mass production.

Are all GoodsAgain products handcrafted?

Yes. Our products are handcrafted in small batches using techniques that require skill, patience, and attention to detail.

Handcrafting also allows us to work creatively with reclaimed and surplus materials, which can vary from batch to batch and often require ingenuity rather than standardized machine production. The result is a slower, more thoughtful way of making—and products with character you simply don't get from mass production.

Are your newspaper products actually made from newspapers?

Yes—they really are! Our newspaper collection starts with actual newspapers that are transformed using a unique weaving technique developed and refined over several years.

And the best part? You can still see bits of the original letters and print woven into the products. It’s always fun to spot a word here and there—or try to guess what the original newspaper might have said!

The newspapers are combined with materials such as cotton and recycled EVA to create products that are surprisingly sturdy, durable, and water-resistant enough for everyday use.

What happens if a newspaper product gets wet?

No need to worry. Simply let it air-dry.

A quick splash or brief exposure to rain generally won't affect it. If the product becomes thoroughly soaked, allow it several hours to dry completely before using it again.
